The Game by Laurie R. King

This is the second in a series of books following Sherlock Holmes and his female companion, Mary Russell. I read the first one a little while ago and decided that as this was my next book on my bookcase to read, I'd slot it in this week. I did have to double check that Laurie R. King was definitely female (and that delayed my posting this thread).

I suspect that I'm probably the only one reading this particular book, which is a shame because I'm finding it a bit slow and I think having someone to compare notes with would help speed up my reading. But let me know if you've read any of this series and what you thought of them. :-)

I didn't think the first one was too bad, but I think the first third of the book could have been skipped or at least glossed over.

My husband's just started the third in the series so I'm curious to see how he finds it.
