Barbara | 515 comments I got a sidebar recommendation that said "Because you liked The Beast of the STapletons," you might like a Harlan Coben contemporary mystery. Now not only was there no similarity between the two books except they were both mysteries, but I didn't like The Beast of the Staplestons" - in my review of it, I pointed out is many Canonical errors (it's a Sherlock Holmes sequel). Gave it 3 stars, which I thought was generous.

J. Gowin | 8000 comments The weirdest one which I've gotten was because I liked A Traitor's War: The Metaframe War: Book 2: Volume 2, I might also like Bong Appétit: Mastering the Art of Cooking with Weed.

J. Rubino (jrubino) | 167 comments I do get a kick out of the film recommendations when I go on a streaming service, the "if you liked this film, here are a half dozen more films we think you'll like."

Scout (goodreadscomscout) | 8079 comments I never hit a like button on a streaming service. I don't want recommendations.

Lizzie | 2057 comments My reading list is so long, I ignore book recommendations from Amazon or KU.

I used to indicate ratings on Netflix, but when it switched to thumbs up or down, I only marked those I disliked. I sometimes peruse the recommendations on various streaming services.
