Always loved reading, but my obcession rly only began after reading the selection by kiera cass, what a journey after that...
my first book series was The Lunar Chronicles, something about Marissa Meyer really pulled middle school me in!
started Harry Potter and the philosophers stone when I was 6, never looked back <3 had a reading slump in 2020/2021 and picked up skulduggery pleasant for the first time and I’ve read all fifteen books and own every single book set in that universe XD
the hunger games. i’ll forever love my english teacher for choosing that book

A court of thorns and roses got me back into reading. I used to read a lot, but then stopped for years until I read that book. Now, I read daily.
Mine was Verity! I know CoHo gets a lot of hate, but I went into her books totally blind and saw a TikTok about Verity, bought in that night and genuinely could not put it down.

I don't ever remember not reading. As a kid, I spent all my free time at the library (back when there was a card catalog). I think what really hooked me as a kid was the full Wizard of Oz series. My aunt had the collection that she eventually gave me. I think there are 15 books in the series.

The book that got me into reading is called How Does It Feel by Jeneane O’riley! Since then I keep buying more and more books.
As a kid, definitely the series of unfortunate events. those books were on a different level. Recently got back into reading and the first book i picked up was “if he had been with me” and i couldn’t stop reading since.

When I was a kid, the Harry Potter series got me into reading but I fell off as an adult. In my 30s, I picked up a copy of Shanghai Girls by Lisa See at a second hand bookstore. I couldn't put it down! It opened my world and gave me a new found love of Chinese history, culture, traditions and lore. I have now read See's entire catalog, met her at a book signing and and wishing daily she announces another book!
It was also the book that showed me I LOVEEEEEE historical fiction. Specifically stories that open me to non-American cultures.
ACOTAR was the first book I'd picked up in years! Since then my reading list is a bit insane :D
