Hello buddies! Have you started this? I did, but didn't have much times these days and I've only read 3 chapters *sigh*
Hello! I have about 40 pages to finish on my current book and then I'm on this one. Should hopefully start tonight as planned though maybe not the full 10 chapters.
oh yay, that's so great to hear lol! i haven't started it yet either. I'm hoping to start it tonight, if anything at least the audiobook!
Finished the first 10 chapters. I'm intrigued. I don't love the writing, somehow feels a bit forced. But I really want to know Layla/ Loulie's story. Mazen is completely dorky and naive and Aisha seems fun. The interaction between people and jinn is interesting too. I wonder how they got to the current point. Looking forward to more.
Oooh that's why I'm not hooked, because the writing feels forced haha it all happens so smoothly, they don't have have spare time hahaBut I love Mazen, loulie, qadir and Hazim too. I stopped reading just before Aishas chapter but I think I will love her
Finished through The Tale of the Queen of the Dunes. Happy for them to start the quest. Will be interesting to see how they interact.
Finished through chapter 45 and everything seems to have gone wrong. Not sure how the next 25 chapters will be salvaged. @BOPEEP beware of spoiler below! :)

Finished this one at 4 AM when I couldn't sleep. Mixed feelings. Where are everyone else on this read?
Hi! I've reached chapter 17 today, it seems that the action starts now, finally!I'm loving the Arabic vibes (I always do) and how it seems that Mazen is Sherezade's son. I also love all the little story chapters.

Yes! I love how she weaves in the stories and to create a new story for her son. I love learning more about cultures through traditional stories and legends.
So unfortunately I still have not started this one (my bad!) but I keep coming back to the comments and I feel like I'm reading it vicariously through you guys lol. I'm sensing the beginning of a reading slump here.....sigh.
I've finished it! I liked it so much, the stories the secrets (I could have prevented none, only that Omar was up to something big in the city). What I loved the most is that there wasn't a love interest. Sometimes I don't like when they force it to the main characters.

I think that the second book will be amazing and we can unravel more secrets about Qadir and Omar, and hopefully the lost brother will appear too.
