Tami (tamicarvallo) | 6987 comments Hello, books must have a storyline or universe or characters in common to be a series. "Universe" means the setting. Some of the characters could encounter each other, or, some of the characters are the same in each book. A shared theme is not a series by Goodreads definition. Can you please tell us how this series meets the definition of a series by Goodreads standards? It is necessary we know this information before creating a series, not following the rules can get our librarian rights removed. I was unable to find this information myself when looking up online.

Kyra Parsi | 16 comments Oh, no worries!
This is a contemporary romantic comedy series. Each book will feature a new couple and can be read as a standalone (very common in my genre), but it's set in the same world with overlapping characters (family members in book 1 will be main characters in book 3, etc.). Additionally, there's an overarching subplot that threads through the first three books. Does that help?

Would it be better/ easier to wait until the 2nd book in the series is out and then set it up? I wasn't sure if people usually waited or had the series set up right away with book 1...

Tami (tamicarvallo) | 6987 comments Thank you, done https://www.goodreads.com/series/3552... it's fine to set it up with just one book if we confirm the series meets the criteria to create it :)
