Sorry, forgot to chat about this one. So the epic love story between Archangel Alexander (Persia) and Archangel Zanaya (Queen of the Nile) was a bit of a doozy... We go way way back to the beginning of time or maybe not that far back just THOUSANDS of years…
Would you recommend the book to others?
If you are invested in the series, then yes. This is a very detailed journey into the deep past. We even had a view of other archangels that are now ancient from a different perspective of when they were younger and before they became archangels.
Do you plan on reading the rest of the series?
Of course. I’m definitely along for the ride… and I didn't notice as many long descriptive dialogues for eyes, hair, wings, etc. They seemed to be scaled back and minimized in this book, or fit the narrative better.
I struggled in the beginning as angels were mentioned and I battled with am I supposed to know this one, were they introduced in another book, what's their super power, who are they related to. It took half the book to get to the present day storyline…
ALSO…. I am so over "she who will not be named" in my reviews. I refuse to give her any more time and want her out of all future storylines. Come up with another big bad and let the whole reborn storyline go. I listened to this in audio and they are always well done.
I'm not gonna read your notes b/c I still have it TBR. I was able to iSpy your rating, so that's good to see 😊
Good review Lis, I read it cause I'm 2 books behind, and when I get to it I won't remember the details. LOL
