We you annoyed by all the top on the writer portion? I really wish it would have dove more into some of the characters and shown less on the writer portion.

message 828: by Shai (new)

Shai | 8 comments The last book i read was The Swans of Harlem: Five Black Ballerinas, Fifty Years of Sisterhood, and Their Reclamation of a Groundbreaking History by Karen Valby. I like reading books about forgotten history and this is one of them. It is well written and intersperses the womens' retelling of their stories with the author's telling of what occurred. i would recommend. I received the ARC via NetGalley.

I loved it for that very reason! Usually can tell how the plot will end up pretty early on in books, but this one kept me guessing.

That's always a nice feeling, to read a genre that's not our usual go-to and enjoy it! I hope you like the next one even more than this one.
