I liked the story. When we found out that the child was missing, I didn't suspect Kelly at all. When we learned about the argument between Kelly and James, I actually thought one of the neighbors took the little girl in when she wandered away from the house, and wasn't planning on giving her back because they thought the parents were unfit.

I liked the story, too, as it gave me a sense of who Bree was, both personally and professionally. It was just enough to whet my appetite for more.

I agree. This novella is an excellent introduction to these characters. I suspect they will be formidable women with a heartbreaking backstories.
