2. January 5 is National Bird Day: Read a book with a bird in the title or on the cover. Mr. Popper's Penguins by Richard Atwater and Florence Atwater
3. January 8 is Male Watcher’s Day: Read a book by a male author or that has a man on the cover. Breakfast at Tiffany's: A Short Novel and Three Stories by Truman Capote
4. January 9 is National Law Enforcement Day: Read a book that features someone in law enforcement. Along Came a Spider by James Patterson
(I was more than midway at end of month and would have finished it on Jan 31, if not for a major migraine, so am counting it as a success)
