Averee 🧚🏻‍♀️ | 67 comments well i have this presentation in front of my class today and i have very bad social anxiety and this class is not my favorite because the kids can be very judgmental

Melanie  (happysadmel) | 131 comments deep breathing (lame asf ik but it helps) and listening to music really loud (make sure it's not depressing lol) and for me it helps to tell myself that I'll be okay and it's not going to kill me, and I'll still be here tomorrow. also make sure you prepare a bit, understand that it can't be perfect but if you have that little bit of knowledge or having an idea of what you want to say (if you are prone to fake scenarios as am I try and not be so negative about it and have a it is what it is mindset might help, try changing your perception of the situation and think about what you will gain from it in a positive light!!! ) and just giving yourself a few seconds of courage and if it doesn't go as plan don't think of it as a failure think of it as an experience. (you probs have done the presentation already but have you asked if you can just do it Infront of the teacher or whoever it's for without an audience? if not keep in mind that, I'm assuming it's a class situation, those kids literally don't matter and i wish someone would have told me that like... you probably won't see any of them again (and that's totally okay) so try not to be so caught up in what they are thinking (ik its super hard as i still struggle with anxiety and that internal battle and tbh it totally sucks ass and i dont know if i will ever recover from it but as long as you try your best thats all that matters at the end of the day)

Emma | 133 comments I go through same kind of thing, honestly try journaling your feelings I know that is cliche but it definitely helps. Another thing is weird I know but thinking the fact that these people aren’t gonna matter in a long time and we are all gonna die an no one will remember the presentation. Also that there are other in the room who may be just as anxious about it as you💌💌💌💌
