I am torn between the ideas of what would be most fun and what would be most useful.

That sounds good, too. I need more than one superpower. I watched Star Trek when I was a teenager and have always thought it would be great to have a transporter. And later, one of those things that would deliver whatever you wanted to eat or drink. Earl Grey hot, please. When's that going to happen? :-)

My superpower would be to manipulate time
I would want to always be forgotten.In the comics, heroes have to hide their true identities for fear that their enemies might seek an advantage by attacking the heroes' friends and family. But I could do whatever needed to be done without concern for others because nobody would remember that I was ever there. I could live a completely normal life.
