Amanda | 43 comments I remember reading a book in the early 2000's - this book wouldn't have been a new release at the time. I vaguely remember borrowing it from my Primary School / High School library.

It was child's chapter book / middle school book and was a singular book (e.g scholastic).

I remember that there was a King and Queen who had four daughters - one blonde, one red-headed, one brunette (and I think one had black hair). When they became of age, their parents split their kingdom into four quarters. One was snow, one was desert, one was a rainforest and I think one might have been water-based. There was a picture of the kingdom at the start of the book.

I am hoping that this book might ring a bell for someone! It has been so long and is driving me crazy trying to figure it out and search for it! :)

Brenna | 734 comments Could it be the Jewel Kingdom series by Jahnna N. Malcolm?

The first book is The Ruby Princess Runs Away. The Amazon preview that is linked on the book page has an illustration of the kingdom.
