I sorted my read shelf by title, and this one is not sorting properly under "S" nor even improperly under "A". Instead, it's being placed last, after titles beginning with "Z". I've looked at the Edit Details page and the sort-by title looked to be entered correctly, as "sky beyond the storm, a (an ember in the ashes, #4)" (without quotes). I compared it with another book in the series, A Reaper at the Gates, which does sort properly by "R", and I noticed that on that book, the sort-by title was entered as "reaper at the gates (an ember in the ashes, #3), a" - so I tried changing the sort-by on the book in question to have the "a" at the end, yet that didn't seem to fix it. It is still sorting after the Z books. I cannot deduce any other reason as to why this is happening. Can another librarian with more knowledge of the backend of the system take a look? Thanks!

Bumping this one as it's still an open issue.
I've tried a couple of times and had no more luck than you. Not sure what is up with this one!You might want to edit the thread title to say [open] so that more librarians are likely to see this.

[I don't know if you've already contact GR Support, but I'm only now reading this thread.]The edition linked in the topic header is not the same edition as the one on your shelves (paperback and hardcover).
However, both have the sort-by-title field right, starting with sky.
Looking at the all editions field for this title, sorted by title: https://www.goodreads.com/work/editio...
the English editions are all sorted correctly, between 'Voorbij de storm' en 'Nebo nakon oluje'.
Since this title is still showing below Z on your shelves, when sorted by title, [ link removed ] , you'll have to contact GR Support. Since the sort-by-title field is correct, there is nothing more a Librarian can do to fix it.

I fixed it by emptying the sort by field, saving, and re-entering. I believe it now sorts correctly.
