I didn't know that the Bookers were being announced today until I just read your post. Also, "Her Majesty The Queen Consort" has to be the suckiest title in the history of royal titles.

Erika, unless they have changed the rules, Dinosaur would have had too recent a publishing date. You might suggest an alternate, in case that is the case.
Nominated books must have been originally published (in any language) in 2000 or later, and also have to have been published in English at least one year prior to the discussion date.
I will nominate Chouette Claire Oshetsky. Most of us probably read this when it came out, but it might be fun to reread it and discuss it in December.

Plenty of time to pick another!

How about your thoughts on Chouette? Do you think it a fair choice or would it be too personal for the author to see it discussed since she is a group member?

I believe it was already discussed in another group and she even pitched in.

Thanks Emily, that would probably be Newest Literary fiction to which I don't belong. Since many of the members are the same, I see no reason to repeat the discussion here and withdraw the nomination.
The poll is now up here, and will be open until November 2nd (sorry for the delay). I think we are down to just the first two nominations.
