I haven't read this one yet, but it doesn't sound as if it has "horror from beneath".. more like an entire haunted asylum . If anyone has read this, please correct me if I am wrong.

(Dead Sea Press ISBN #9781915272157)
The Deep by Nick Cutter was a previous group read so it's not eligible. Feel free to nominate something else.

Dead Sea by Tim Curran
I'm also going to +1 The Worm and His Kings by Hailey Piper

Hi JT, we usually try to keep to stand alones, I don't mind adding a book that's part of a duology or short series once in a while, but the Necroscope is a big boy when it comes to series spanning 18 books not counting spinoffs. So good for a buddy read but I wouldn't put it on a poll for a group read.
The inspiration for the "It Lives Beneath" theme was from a book called Ice Hunt by James Rollins, I read it ages ago but it really set off a love of the "bad stuff happening under our feet or even further down" as in, how dire it can get. The Rollins story is categorized as more of a thriller adventure but there were hellishly scary scenes in it too, so to me it's part horror as well. I'm not nominating it as it's not horror enough probably but just wanted to say where most of the inspo came from :)
In case you want to check it out:

The pacing was so great, I saw that you and Jon read it in 2013, so neat <3

Earthcore - Scott Sigler
The Anomaly - Michael Rutger
+1 for CLICKERS"
This would count as a +1 for Earthcore that I nominated earlier in the string of comments. Thanks!

+ 1 Richard Laymon endless night and midnight lair ( I think)

This looks fun, Chimera by Michael McBride
Chimera
A team of scientists awakens an organism that has lain dormant beneath the ocean floor for millions of years.
“This is Dr. Mira Stone at Academy Station…”
When the Air National Guard receives an emergency call for help from a remote arctic research station in Greenland, Senior Master Sergeant Dan Cameron is chosen to lead the rescue mission. All he and his team know for sure is that the facility has lost primary power and the integrity of the complex has been compromised.
“Something is in here with us. Six of us are already dead.”

Wahoo :)
The Noms will close tomorrow by mid-day hopefully ( I'm on the East coast) and I will have the poll up the same day.

+1 The Root Witch
+1 Clickers
+1 Winter's Myths
+1 From Below
I usually try not to +1 more than three books, but this one was a really hard one to limit myself. Hoping this means some really good books will get voted in. Also, funny enough, I was tempted to nominate Ice Hunt, even though it is more of a thriller. It was the second book I thought of, right after the Robbie Dorman book I nominated. I still love the writing in Ice Hunt.

So many good choices.
