Chapter 32- Lily has been holding in all the news from her mom about being pregnant. Lily doesn't know how her mother is going to take this because her mom LOVES Ryle. Her mom has seen them happy together and they haven't been married for that long. Lily misses Ryle and what they had soooo much but she is being strong and fighting through this and telling herself that she WILL NOT give him a second chance. Lily gets to the drive way of her moms house and as she gathers herself he is not wearing maternity clothes and her belly is noticeable. Lily pretty much married a man like her father. Abusive and will say he's sorry just so he won't look like the bad guy. Time after time Lily's mom kept giving chances and it eventually lead to her mom getting beaten to realize that this relationship was toxic. Well Lily can't be mad at her mom because she is in the SAME boat. Lily's mom is right you have to be brave and bold. Trust your heart and know that you deserve better. Lily's mom is excited that she is going to be a grandma! But when Lily finds out her mom is seeing someone again.... Lily begins to worry that her mom is with another man like her father. But Lily's mom promises that he is not like Lily's father.

Chapter 33- Allysa had thrown Lily a baby shower. Ryle and Lily haven't spoken to each other in over 3 months now. Lily has quite a few friends and family there. Lily never made a registry so she has some duplicates for the baby but she doesn't know the gender yet, and she will find out once the baby is born. Lily is 30 weeks pregnant and she has another 10 more weeks to go till the little one is here. She is gathering the gifts and taking them down to her apartment. Marshall helps, and so does Ryle..... Ryle keeps eyeing her stomach and Lily knows that he is thinking about something. But the nursery is not set up yet, and Ryle can help set the crib up, and get things ready so if the baby comes early. Lily keeps her distance while Ryle puts things together. Her apartment door is unlocked and as people go in and out... emotions are flooded with how she just wants to hug Ryle and make things work out. Lily will sadly be in the hospital room by herself since she probably won't want Ryle in there while she is giving birth. Everything has happened in such a blink of an eye that Lily emotions are getting the best of her. But Lily catches Ryle standing there just staring at the bed imaging the baby born and that's when she is struck in the moment that maybe is truly is sorry but as her words from her mom keep flowing in her mind... she realizes that she is not going to fall for that trap.

Hey Cat! I just finished this horrible book and thank god! I don't even know where to start honestly. I can't stand Ryle that's for sure and the way he treated Lily is sickening. I am glad she chose a divorce from Ryle because I personally think he shouldn't have the right to be the fathers child let alone his name on the birth certificate. If he is going to treat Lily that way then he is going to treat the baby that way. Him begging for sex, him and his sorry's all the time thinking that will cure everything just got down right annoying.

I have to start right off the bat and say that the writing to me was just dull. I feel like every 3 words she ended a sentence. I'm also not sure if it's me or if I'm just used to novels having way more descriptive text but I really felt that this was lacking description.

Ryle is a despicable human being. I have to admit, I definitely fell for the "tall, dark, and handsome" appeal to him in the beginning but after he first hit Lily I instantly lost all my respect for him as a character.

@cat I am not used to reading books like this but it’s my fault because I didn’t look at the trigger warnings before I read this book and yeah no I agree with you 100% that after he abused Lily like that because he can’t control his anger I lost all respect and it made me not want to finish the book. But in the end I am glad Lily chose to divorce this stupid idiot who is a grown man and can’t treat women right….
