I am trying to find the titles of some books I read when I was a young adult. I only remember a few details.

I read this book give or take around the year 2006.

Fantasy book about a cat. The cat starts out as a test subject in a lab.
It can barely move and only feel light from a window behind it on it's back.
It likes fish but never gets to eat it.

Soon it escapes the lab and it will meet a feral cat colony which has one leader cat (queen?).
Later in the book it will have kittens with another special cat, which is dangerous for some reason. They weren't supposed to have kittens.

I don't remember how the book ended. I don't think it's a book about Warrior Cats because I don't think I ever read any of those.
