Del hits a brick wall after two weeks but Faz gives him new directions, suggesting he talk to Rick Tombs, head of the drug task force, the Last Line. Rick is somewhat helpful but gives him similar leads to nowhere. What impressions did you have of him at the time? Anything that made him seem suspicious?

Robin (robinmy) | 2450 comments I thought that Rick was an old-timer who was just putting in his time until retirement. He gave Del a lead, but he didn't seem to care if actually went somewhere. He struck me as lazy.

~Melissa~ | 429 comments This was where I thought it was starting to get weird that Tombs would tell Del something almost exactly similar to Moss.

At first I thought this was going to be the guy that gave Del the help he needed. But when he didn’t take the lead on the tip, I got confused. Didn’t know if he was lazy or hiding something, just not kosher.

~Melissa~ | 429 comments Same here - I thought he would shed some light on some other aspect or something else Del could tug on or check out.

Exactly. He was a dead end that shouldn’t have been.

Sharon Kallenberger Marzola | 3485 comments The meeting with Tombs is when I started thinking of dirty cops. I didn't understand why Tombs wasn't more helpful. Like Robin, I thought maybe he was doing the bare minimum to get by, but something didn't feel right.

Charlene (charlenethestickler) | 1203 comments Lazy, at the least.
