Hello. Trying to remember a book I read back in early 90’s. The story was about a teen boy and girl who become friends and maybe have more feelings but there is something wrong. Over time he finds out she is being sexually abused, I think by her dad? They have a day bunking off school every now and then to celebrate Millard Fillmore Day. He was a president but not a very well known one and they choose to celebrate him by having fun.

Any help would be massively appreciated. Thank you 😊
