30 -- An Author With A Same Name As You
I found an author that not only has the same first AND last name as me, she also spells them both the same. Our names are Michele Olson, and the first book in her series is Being Ethel: In a world that loves Lucy.
that's so exciting Michele! I think there are two people with my first and last name who have written academic papers but not accessible books. There are enough Rosalinds to provide some good options though and I found one who specialises in folklore so am actually using her for the mythology prompt.
I find prompts like this particularly interesting because the options depend on the reader rather than the book itself so it's very different.
I think I'm going to read two books for this prompt, because I also found an author with the same last name as mine.So I'm going to be reading Ash Princess and The Water Crown
Okay so #30 found two authors who share my name (slight spelling variation) and I get to choose between...https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/4...

Good thing that I like dinosaurs! Also that one is spelled exactly as mine is.

Oh my Goodness! What a choice! HaHaHa
My first name is impossible to work with. Luckily my last name (due to marriage) is Marshall. So I'm going to read Missing Marlene: Being A Nanny Is Murder by Evan Marshall.
Thushari wrote: "I hate this prompt"Thushari, you can do what I do. If there is no way for me to comfortably find a book for a prompt, I just skip it. This year I'm only doing 44 of them and I did the same last year. And I don't feel guilty!
I think this one will be pretty easy for me. I guess I'll finally read an Agatha Christie book.

Thanks for posting this! Might have to steal the first one as mine for this prompt too haha
I just finished Home: A Memoir of my early years by Julie Andrews. Really enjoyed it, not what I expected.
Driving ForceI read driving force by Kate Angelo (we both have the same first name; I actually have met this author in person, which makes this extra cool).
This book 5 stars!

This book 5 stars!"
Very Cool!
Christie wrote: "I think this one will be pretty easy for me. I guess I'll finally read an Agatha Christie book."I suggest you The Murder of Roger Ackroyd

I read Once Upon a River by Diane Setterfield, since Diane is my middle name. 2 Stars unfortunately, the timeline was wibbly-wobby and the characters were hard to keep track of

Thushari wrote: "I hate this prompt"There are a few books by Tushar and Tusharika. Not a great choice. It is the same for me, but there a a few.
I read Black Beauty by Anna Sewell for this prompt. It fit in well with my wanting to read more of the classics.
I also dislike this prompt. My only saving grace is that I took my husband’s last name when we married. I’ll be reading “The Fifth Business” by Robertson Davies.
I just finished What the Wind Knows by Amy Harmon. I had never heard of her, and let me just say, this ended up being one of the best books I have ever read! I did not want it to end.
For this one, I went with my maiden name (Gallagher) which I now use as my middle name. I started and discarded two other books before finding this mystery, which I really enjoyed. Missing by Charlie Gallagher.

Sandra wrote: "Something by Sandra Brown. Any recommendations?"I'm reading Sandra Brown's Blind Tiger for the Roaring 20s...
I think I'm going to read The Speed of Dark by Elizabeth Moon. I am quite glad that my first name offers so many possibilities...
I chose “Hotel Paradise” by Martha Grimes for this prompt. I’m enjoying it and had not come across this writer before.
I read The Enchantment Emporium by Tanya Huff -- I loved her Blood Price series when I was younger (sadly unavailable in ebook format) but wasn't as keen on this.
I am going to read a book by an author with my first name Stella and the title The Parfit Knight ties in with my married surname, double whammy.
I had a hard time finding a book for this prompt and then I stumbled on an Zero Fail by Carol Leonnig that was recommended on a podcast. It is written by a Pulitzer Prize winning journalist. 5 stars!
