Tami (tamicarvallo) | 6987 comments Hi, I was wondering what the policy for writing a series name in RTL languages is, because from what I see the formatting varies quite a bit to even librarians not writing the series name in the translated language just leaving it in English as the # doesn't quite work well when writing rtl.

Wife e (cutemanxx) | 19 comments You should use Unicode BIDI formatting characters.

Compare:

پنجابی لغت (بھاگ #2)

پنجابی لغت (بھاگ ‫#2)

In the second example:
* RIGHT TO LEFT EMBEDDING - inserted before the #
* POP DIRECTIONAL FORMATTING - inserted after the final parenthesis

These characters are invisible. If you search these names you will find sites that provide a button to copy and paste them.‬
