Abrielle Leilani The writing was completely cliche, unpassionate, and bland. The ending was completely predictable, and some of the situations were far from realistic. I was excited to read it, because of all the hype surrounding the movie and the book, and I was utterly disappointed. THIS BOOK IS ALL HYPE.

Emily Krouk I completely agree...This is exactly how I felt after read this book

Shawna Cañizares You must read where she went though. For me the story gets better in here.

Jillian I found it to be an awful book. I am surprised so many people liked it.

Kaitlyn My friend forced me to read it and I found the writing terrible. It was very basic to me. I'm also confused as to why so many people love this book.

I agree. I found If I Stay to be good writing, but nothing unexpected. Just okay. But I absolutely LOVED Where She Went.

I agree with you Abrielle, I don't feel like I connected with the story at all. Not only that but I also felt like there wasn't any passion and I didn't admire the characters like I was supposed to.

Library Lady 📚 I was also surprised that I didn't enjoy this more, after hearing so many rave reviews.

Lani After hearing so many great reviews of this book so it was a total let down. It was way overhyped.

I thought the exact same! The story went nowhere and the whole entire book was pointless flashbacks. It was obvious from the beginning that she was going to stay, I give this book two thumbs down.

Tina I agree. The story was predictable and the writing simplistic. I really hated the hospital scenes where everyone was trying to sneak in to see her. So would not ever happen.

Steph Burton I agree. I was very dissatisfied when I finished the book. I now know I am not the only one who feels like that x

Maria Massa It was just...boring

Sammy Page I tried. I really did. I just feel like it didn't do much for me. There's so much more that could have gone on to make this book so much better, but no. It didn't. I HATED the endings of both the book and the movie though. So much. A for effort I guess? I'm glad I didn't actually go out and buy this. Thank goodness.

Angeli Ann Pura You should read I was here. I think it was way better than If I stay.

Yes! Same with TFIOS. Awful.

Grace It was extremely over hyped... i honestly expected it to be better... the plot and over structure of the story was lacking

Jooyoung Eh... I didn't much like it. I'm pretty upset, because the book has an amazing premise - I mean, deciding whether you live or die?! Amazing things could come from an idea like that! - but was executed pretty damn poorly. It was just her babbling on a bout her life. Which is, to be honest, pretty mundane. I agree completely. It was a let down.
