The Book of Negroes question

This book was amazing, I chose it for a comparative essay with catcher in the rye and it was really good. A bit exaggerated in some areas, but a great book nonetheless.

I loved the Book Of Negroes!! I was hooked from the first page. Really it was the first book on slavery that I had been interested in reading. Gave me an overall look at the horrific existence of early slaves. The way they were housed, today's dogs are better taken care of. To trade in human flesh, a sickening story of human degradation. So many didn't make it from their mother land, the ocean floor becoming their watery grave. Just the thought of how many were thrown overboard, the spirits of the oceans the forgotten slaves. A deep, moving account of slavery. I would read it again, that's how much I loved it!!

At my house, it was used to prop up an uneven table since it wasn't worth reading or passing along to anyone else. However, it was the perfect size to fix the table.
