Do you have the book in hand and can confirm 417 pages? Is this a paperback published by Penguin Books? WorldCat has it with 432 pages.

Yes I do.

I have counted all the extra blank pages aswell and you are correct it is 432
Yes it is paperback and publisher is Penguin.

Blank pages at the end don't count. What page does the book actually end? Is there anything after that other than blank pages?

Then it would be 418 as there is an advertising page aswell other then that they are all blank..

Advertisements shouldn't count so it looks like your original count of 417 is correct. The change has been made.

From the Librarian's manual: "The number of pages in a book is meant to include all content except for advertisements and preview chapters for other books. Included end material may include acknowledgments, afterwords, appendices, bibliographies, glossaries, indexes, notes, and suggested discussion questions."
