Leanne (leanneworwood) | 2 comments Silly fictional book with individual stories of kids who appear to be good, but are actually sneaky: a boy who puts on his nice suit, but ruins it playing outside; a girl who does the dishes, but is dismissed after "accidentally" breaking plates.

It was about how to appear to be the perfect kid ....or something like that. I read it to my children in the 90's.

Tales for the Perfect Child by Florence Parry Heide seems to match your description.

"Vignettes of children whose less than desirable behavior is masked in insidious but acceptable ways."
