Oliver | 2 comments There has been some graphic novel that I have been looking for for so long and yet I do not remember the name of the book. I do remember key details, and I would like it if someone who remembers the name of the book or is able to find the book would help me out. The book features 3 kids, two of whom I think are boys with black hair (one of them definitely has black hair) and one who is a ginger girl, who attend either a boarding school or an orphanage. They manage to escape it and solve a mystery. Plot is barely remembered other than snippets I cannot be sure about, but there are some things I can be certain about.

Read this book at some point between 2015 and 2018.

1. The book is set in a gothic/dark academia style (tall brick towers with pointy roofs, cars out of the 1920s, devices from the early 1900s, so on), similar to that of the tv show Umbrella Academy. The illustrations of the book are similar to that of the Umbrella Academy comics, making me think it's possible that the book was made by Dark Horse Comics, since it has such a similar artistic style.
2. Illustrations are crude, not well detailed. Hair is pointy, and so on.
3. Book is a graphic novel written for young adults.
4. A large woman who keeps order for the kids in the boarding school is distracted or attacked by one of the main characters during their escape by catapulting oatmeal at her.
5. An electric chair is used by a character at one point.

While I do not remember the name or cover (I think it has the main characters and a black 1920s car on the front), I will be able to recognize it if it is posted. Thanks!
