I absolutely loved the first half of the book but felt like it came completely undone in the second half. Still want to read the sequel because it had a good ending, but man that second half was a huge letdown.

Just completed my "E" selection - The Secret Wisdom of the Earth by Christopher Scotton. I loved this story! It was unexpected and beautiful as it slowly unfurled from a simple story about a boy visiting his grandfather in Kentucky to an examination of grief, evil, loss, and the impacts of impulsive decisions. My only criticism was that the end was rather muddled, the last chapter skipped around in time quite a bit so it was confusing. I read the ARC, so hopefully that was fixed in the final edition. Definitely worth reading! 4.5 stars
