► UNSOLVED: One specific book > Jesus' crucifixion told as a story, detailed description of his suffering, Mary at the cross, etc. Realistic, beautifully written. Read around 1985.

Sandra Deen | 2 comments I read this book around 1985. It was a short book (paperback). It was a storytelling ( not teaching, but told in a story). book of Jesus’ crucifixion. It was very detailed with all he suffered, the beating, the offer of water, the crown of thorns being put on his head, Mary at the cross. It was written very beautiful and real as if you were there. Very moving book. I am not sure of author or time it was publish. Thank you very much

Link for Rose's suggestion - The Gospel According to Jesus Christ (1991) by José Saramago.

Amazon's "Look Inside" preview:
https://www.amazon.com/Gospel-Accordi... There are different cover images.

Rainbowheart | 28670 comments Might want to check the Fiction with Jesus as a Character list.

Sophia Hardy-Weinberg | 48 comments I'd would go for The Gospel According to Jesus Christ but that was first published in 1991.
So I'd suggest The Last Temptation of Christ.
