Finished it XD I read it in class.

Review: Not sure if this book had any point at all really. It didn't provide any insight after reading the first book, but then I suppose it would have been a little more helpful if I'd read it before Snow Like Ashes XD It kind of confused me a little swapping from present day to 6 years ago, but I liked how it shows (view spoiler)[the fall of her mother figure and 2 of their 10 remaining hopes. (hide spoiler)] It took me a while to realise that Crystalla (view spoiler)[wasn't her age, and was an adult. (hide spoiler)] It was nice to get back into this series after quite a long break. I will be continuing.

1/4: (view spoiler)[I found this immediately engaging. I like how the female protagonist isn't this crazy good warrior princess, as I feel like that is overdone in YA fantasy. Dissapointed that she is so enamoured in the Prince, as that is another trope I was eager not to see. It hasn;t taken too much of a precedence yet, however.

I'm enjoying learning how this world functions, and the splitting of the seasons into territories is giving me some serious ACOTAR vibes! (hide spoiler)]

That's good! It makes her more real and makes me more inclined to feel suspense when she gets in any tricky situations, as it isn't obvious she will beat her opponent.

Hey Jamie! How are we wanting to do this read? Do we want to go at our own pace or set a certain amount of chapters per day? I work so my only reading time is on breaks and during lunch. Sometimes I get a chance to read during my daughter's softball practice and before bed if I'm not too tired...LOL

I'd say more at our own pace cause I can go days without reading when working and can have wide gaps at others. So chapters a day can be hard.

Not to mention the fact that he didn't even have the decency to tell her about it himself, she had to find out from Theron right before their engagement party. That was really low.
