As they’re making progress on the Cole missing person investigation, Tracy is sidelined by Nolasco, making her turn over her work to Fernandez. Did it feel Ike he was trying to spite Tracy or following protocol? Was the decision detrimental to the investigation, even though Tracy found a way to link that case to two cold cases?

Charlene (charlenethestickler) | 1203 comments Nolasko tried to side rail Tracy every chance he got, and this was no different. Fortunately, Kins was a good guy and Fernandez was a straight shooter herself. No ego involved, except for Nolasko.

Robin (robinmy) | 2450 comments Yes, Nolasko wanted to show Tracy that she was no longer welcome with the A-team and that Fernandez would be doing her work. If Tracy had stopped working on this case, she never would have solved it or linked the two cold cases.

Nolasco was definitely trying to spite Tracy, at the risk of hurting the investigation. This man is a menace and it can’t be just limited to Tracy. He was not following protocol as the worst thing you can do to an investigation is change up the team.

It’s because Tracy’s such a great detective that neither of the cases suffered. And, Maria Fernandez had the grace to understand how messed up it was and offered support. Nolasco doesn’t even realize that he creates a stronger bond between them because of his shenanigans.

Sharon Kallenberger Marzola | 3484 comments Nolasco was trying to spite Tracy. He didn't want her to show up Maria by solving the case.

Honestly, I'm a little pissed at Maria. She always worked well with Tracy, she should have been the better person. What a low thing to do to a co-worker.

Did she have an alternative, Sharon?

~Melissa~ | 429 comments Nolasco was really just being himself - did any of us expect any different from him.

Loved that Tracy still figured out a way to work around Nolasco's crap.

Sharon Kallenberger Marzola | 3484 comments I can relate with a recap of a personal incident as most of us had to deal with a Nolasco at least once during our career. I had a boss who hated me, and I never understood why. I was given a project that I fought for before he was hired as the boss of our area. Before long, he went to another woman in our department to get her to take over from me. We both figured he went to her instead of one of the men to avoid a discrimination complaint. I was pi$$ed needless to say. Dana told him she couldn't meet the deadline and that I needed to continue since I was on target.

I went to HR and formally complained. It wasn't long before other women (there were only 3 of us) in the department complained. He was fired before the year ended.

In my opinion, Maria is aware that she is pushing Tracy out. If I were Maria, I would have talked to HR to see what options I had.

Bravo for you, Sharon! That was risky to do back then.

Great point about Maria. Second time she allowed Nolasco to use her.
