Rebecca Holiday I am now accepting review requests for FICTION (no picture books, comics or graphic novels) on my blog https://novaholiday.blogspot.com/ (at my own discretion). You can request a review there on the contact form available. Please be aware though that I don't do quid pro quo reviews - I don't review books positively just to bump up the author, both because it violates policies and also because it's dishonest. I will rate a book highly if I really like it. I prefer reading print books, but I do accept some eBooks if they look really interesting to me. I do not use Amazon, so I cannot read Kindle books unless they're in a more universal format (PDF, mobi, ePub).

B.C. Taylor (bctaylor) | 7 comments Hi Rebecca, I submitted this to your blog, but thought I would post here to be thorough. I have an upcoming release of my YA fantasy novel, The Lost Witch: Book One of the Hayden Black and the Salem Witch Trials series. I've included the book blurb below, and if it sparks your interest, I can provide an eBook ARC copy through BookFunnel so you can download however works best for you. Thanks!

Five deadly Trials. An ancient, sinister evil.

One lost witch with the power to save the world.

Welcome to Asylum.

Twelve-year-old Hayden Black has never been normal, that much she knew, but when her father is abducted by demons, she learns just how remarkable she truly is. Not only is she a witch, but Heaven’s angels have chosen her as the next Salem Witch, destined to protect the world from evil… if she can survive the deadly Salem Witch Trials first.

Now Hayden must traverse the magical world of Asylum and learn to use her powers. If she doesn’t master all five elements — air, fire, water, earth, and Spirit — before her seventeenth birthday, she forfeits her life.

Hayden might have started her journey orphaned and alone, but it doesn’t take her long to forge new friendships and attract new enemies. Hayden thought her only nemesis was the residential bully, but her greatest enemy, a terrible evil lurking in the shadows, has yet to reveal itself.

Will Hayden master her air magic in time to save her friends and find her father? Or will she perish alongside them?

The Lost Witch is the first book in an urban fantasy series intended for readers ages ten and above who love Percy Jackson and Avatar: The Last Airbender.

Derek’s world is about to change forever—again.
After his father’s stroke, Derek Weston dropped out of college and returned home to help his parents with the family business, Oak Landing Apartments. Now living on the premises as the groundskeeper and handyman, he never expected the girl he’d secretly crushed on in high school to move into a unit right before Christmas or stir up desires he thought long gone.
Krista Hartley needs a fresh start away from her overbearing parents, but falling for the tattooed hottie who ignored her back in school wasn’t in the plans. Despite old hurts, Derek’s hot kisses and strong arms offer the shelter she craves.
When another woman sets her sight on Derek and drives a wedge between him and Krista, they’ll have to decide if their relationship is real, or just a winter fling.

Sophia Conway | 9 comments Hi Rebecca,

Thanks for offering to read and leave reviews for authors, it's a tough market out there and I hope my book appeals to you. My newly released book, 'His Last Companion', is a thought-provoking introspection of the human experience and the intimacy between the last man on earth and the one companion who has been by his side since birth, Death.

Hi Rebecca,

I am the author of a historical romance novel. Below is the blurb of my book:

Aliya Mirza and Jai Singh were destined as neighbors. They weren't supposed to become friends. They certainly weren't allowed to fall in love.

Because once they do, they find themselves embroiled in a tangled web of deceit and betrayal amidst a tumultuous nationwide divide. Memories blur. Words lose their meaning. Love no longer has a place to stay.

Surviving is the only option. Tormenting the other to death is a choice they make.

For when life rewards them with differences too blatant and hurdles too many, their love story threatens them with an ending they never wanted. Forever apart.

---------------------------------------

I'd love to have your reviews on my novel (I can share a PDF of the original manuscript with you). If this is something that interests you, please do let me know.

Hi,

I hope you’ll consider reviewing my latest novel, and winner of the Literary Titan Golden Book Award, “Yuri & the Pig” (87,000 words [282 pages] published by Wild Wolf Publishing on September 1, 2023), a work of fiction based on the current war in Ukraine. However, the countries involved are fictitious, too.

Some excerpts from editorial reviews:
“C W Lovatt's storytelling is masterful…” ~ Readers’ Favorite
“Lovatt's novel is a literary gem …” ~ A Look Inside
“A genuinely thought-provoking novel, it beckons readers to reflect on the intricate dance of life, growth, and self-discovery.” ~ Literary Titan

The following is the blurb:

“From the best-selling author of the Charlie Smithers adventures.

A farmer and his pig set off on an extraordinary quest across war-torn Eastern Europe.

Entangled in a savage war, the country of Xoraina is fighting for its very existence; but to Yuri, a simple peasant from a remote mountain village, it seems all but certain that the invading Zlaimperians must ultimately prevail. Not that it is of any consequence to him, of course. In Yuri’s view, every form of government is equally bad, so it makes very little difference who holds the reins of power. Indeed, throughout time, the only things that have ever really mattered are that the soil be tilled, the cows milked, and the pigs shipped to market, all in a timely fashion.

But when an exorbitant new tax threatens that philosophy, he sets off with his pig across the war-ravaged land to the Capital in order to fight the injustice. In the process, their journey becomes a road to a terrible enlightenment, causing Yuri to question his deeply seated beliefs. But only when he and his pig find themselves placed squarely in destiny’s path is there any hope of those questions finding answers.”

If interested, please contact me at clovatt@xplornet.ca and I’ll arrange for you to receive an e-copy in the format you prefer.

Thank you for your time.
