I love that Tom went on the offensive and immediately put an end to the story and quashed the gossip.I think that a lot of London Society knew that both father and son Rippon had problems and with the Ravenel family and supporters standing firmly behind her, they forgave her.
I knew Tom was going to do something for Cassandra. In fact, I expected him to buy the newspaper. He was great. I wasn't surprised that society gave a Marquis a pass. It's the old "boys will be boys" philosophy. I was angry for Cassandra. She deserves more than being "forgiven." She did win in the end.
I was hoping that they’d at least shun these two but things really haven’t changed that much. Silly me.
Kudos to Tom for at least restoring Cassandra’s reputation, as it were. It’s a shame that after this incident, the Marquis and his miserable son were still viewed in higher stead than Tom.

I loved that Tom bought the newspaper to get the information about who was behind the article. I wasn't sure how he would find out, but I wasn't expecting him to buy the paper.Cassandra did nothing that needed "forgiven". That just made me mad. And letting the Lambert's off the hook was not a surprise. Men with money are always given a pass, at least most of them.
