This is what we have:70. Read a minimum of 1200 pages in books of the same sub-genre, but by different authors.

There are two that I'm debating between and both are a little over 300 pages.
What are your authors, Chan? We need to not overlap there.I have a Shana Galen and a Jennifer Ashley on my M&G, but I was planning on both of those for next month. They're also both just barely over 300 pages, and I'd rather find something a little longer, so I'll probably just go looking for a reread.

I'm leaning toward
by Laura Kinsale. It's an old one, but I remember really liking it, and the bonus is it's 565 pages. 😁

LOL...yes, it sometimes makes a difference! And I guess mine doesn't really qualify as old (1992) when up against Heyer!
i think they are both in the 20th century lol although Kinsale is on the tale end.

Liz, will you please check your link again? I'm still getting my read shelf rather than the specific book review page. GR has been having issues lately, so maybe it decided not to accept your edit. It will do that sometimes if you've been on the page for a while without refreshing it (and sometimes "a while" doesn't have to be long at all depending on if they're messing with stuff), so If you could try to add the correct link again, but refresh the page immediately before doing the edit, hopefully it will take this time. Thanks!

OK, I'm really glad I read that as part of the challenge. The first few emails, I felt so much second-hand embarrassment for the heroine that I probably would have DNF'd it if I hadn't had to finish the book, and it ended up being really good once I got past that. 😁

Each of you will select two books from your other teammates ’to-read’ shelves that have been there over a year. (If no books over a year on their ‘to-read’ shelf, then select from the 20 oldest books on their shelf. But how is it possible to not have books that have lingered over a year?!) Each teammate will pick one of the books selected from their shelf and read that book. So each teammate will have to read one book from the six picked options.

The first one was easy because it's one of my fav MC romances. The second I just went for a high rated suspense because I know you like those, so hopefully it's good!

sorry for being so late to the party. I have family visiting from VA. It was nice to not have to travel to VA, but it still requires your time...cleaning, hosting, etc. Looking through your shelves in a moment. I'll try to use your MnG shelves if you participate in that Challenge.

Liz, you may need to check yours too. As I mentioned in my picks to you, I double checked to make sure they were also on your tbr, but I must be doing something wrong b/c one of Karen's wasn't in her tbr on her end.
