message 104: by Sadie (new)

Sadie | 2 comments I read a lot of those authors last year 😂
But for this year so far I’ve done:

Crime and Punishment by Fyodor Dostoyevsky
The Betrothed by Alessandro Manzoni
Mere Christianity by CS Lewis
Desperate Remedies by Thomas Hardy

Only a couple hundred to go 😂

message 105: by Sadie (new)

Sadie | 2 comments Thomas Hardy*

message 106: by Karen (new)

Karen | 87 comments Just seeing this challenge now. What do you suppose the chances are that the seven classic authors I've read this year are not on this wonderfully comprehensive list? How funny is that? :)

Defoe - Roxana
Forbes - Johnny Tremain
Forster - A Room With a View
Hersey - A Bell for Adano
Knowles - A Separate Peace
Andereson, Sherwood - Winesburg, Ohio
Johnson, Josephine Winslow - Now in November.

I did just start Dumas' The Count of Monte Cristo and I'm just finishing (most of) The Best Short Stories of Fyodor Dostoevsky - no time right now for Notes from the Underground sadly.
