But for this year so far I’ve done:
Crime and Punishment by Fyodor Dostoyevsky
The Betrothed by Alessandro Manzoni
Mere Christianity by CS Lewis
Desperate Remedies by Thomas Hardy
Only a couple hundred to go 😂

Defoe - Roxana
Forbes - Johnny Tremain
Forster - A Room With a View
Hersey - A Bell for Adano
Knowles - A Separate Peace
Andereson, Sherwood - Winesburg, Ohio
Johnson, Josephine Winslow - Now in November.
I did just start Dumas' The Count of Monte Cristo and I'm just finishing (most of) The Best Short Stories of Fyodor Dostoevsky - no time right now for Notes from the Underground sadly.

Thanks Rosemarie! Got several planned Classic reads for the rest of the year to boost my initial total.
I thought that I would easily be able to read 10 of these authors but have only read 6 so far! I think I will finish at least 1 more this year, although I have 4 started.

Also have one 'on the go' as the New Year approaches which I am unlikely to finish by close of year: Of Human Bondage by W. Somerset Maugham
Happy New Year to all moderators and group members - looking forward to more Challenges in 2024!

I’m hoping to read the 4 that I have listed on my 2023 challenge but didn’t get to plus 2 more - Tolkien (Fellowship of the Rings) and Hugo (Les Miserables).

I may read more, but am happy to have finished the number I set.

I’ll try to read 20 of the authors listed in 2025.
Jenna
We started this challenge in 2023 and have been using the same authors since then.
I'm pretty certain the list will stay the same.

This is great since how many classics I read each year varies, etc.

I just finish a title by Trollope!!
😃😃 Happy reading everyone.
