There a book series that i found in middle school in 2011, all i remember was the book cover and a brief summary. I want to read it now and it stuck in my head to the point of insanity.
So here is the description of the book cover of the first book, the main character is floating on top of the water and in the background if the sky, and the last book i believes has an another character floating in the air with a volcano in the background.
The brief summary of the first book that i remembered was, a dark entity is coming back to destroy the world but the four god and goddesses cannot intervene due to an ancient law forbidden them or they will destroy the world itself, so each gods and goddesses raised a demigod to replace them but also battle the dark entity and save the world. The god and goddesses correspond to the four elements and there are two male gods and two female goddesses.
I know that the book is very old almost made in the years in the 90s or so.

There's the "Elder Gods" series by David and Leigh Eddings-published consecutively in 2003 to 2006. The first book has a volcano, and the hardback cover has a floating female. https://www.fantasticfiction.com/e/da...
