. Soooo good. Love me some metafiction. Thanks for picking this for Mystery Book Club. I believe this is my 11th book of the summer challenge. My other 10 were:A Curious Beginning
This Time Tomorrow
Wordslut: A Feminist Guide to Taking Back the English Language
The Worst Best Man
The Secret Bridesmaid
Arsenic and Adobo
The Dictionary of Lost Words
I'm Glad My Mom Died
The Wisteria Society of Lady Scoundrels
The Wisteria Society of Lady Scoundrels
Thanks APL for letting us adults re-live our childhood joy of participating in the summer reading program! My final books of the challenge from this past week are:
Signal Moon (Kate Quinn’s short story)
The Woman in the Library
Death and the Conjuror
The Queen’s Gambit
I started the audio version of Remarkably Bright Creatures, but probably won’t finish it in time even though I’m home sick, but so far I highly recommend it if anyone is looking for something a little bit different.
Hi! 👋🏻 I’ve been quite delinquent in posting my reading for the summer, so here are all of the books that I’ve read this summer:
The Satapur Moonstone by Sujata Massey
The Sanatorium by Sarah Pearse
The Burning Pages by Paige Shelton
The Book of Cold Cases by Simone St. James
Final Girls by Riley Sager
The Devil’s Wedding Ring by Vidar Sundstøl
The Omega Factor by Steve Berry
The Lost Girls of Paris by Pam Jenoff
Hot and Sour Suspects by Vivien Chien
The House Across the Lake by Riley Sager
My final book of the summer is The Queen of Nothing by Holly Black. Definitely a new favorite series!
Books I've read this summer:The House Across the Lake by Riley Sager
A Day Like This by Kelley McNeil
Burnt Offerings by Robert Marasco (I was kicking it old school)
A Head Full of Ghosts by Paul Tremblay
The Haunted by Bentley Little
Horrorstor by Grady Hendrix (as you can see I was on a real horror kick there for a bit!)
The Last to Vanish by Megan Miranda
Things We Do in the Dark by Jennifer Hillier
Wrong Place, Wrong Time by Gillian McAllister
I mostly enjoyed the books I've read. Got back into the horror genre, which I want to keep going with if I can find more titles. I may due for a re-read of Salem's Lot. I usually read more mystery/thrillers but I needed a little break from that. It was a great summer for reading!
