Okay a very late start but here I am! I just finished book 2 and I'm immediately diving into this one :)

First quarter - (view spoiler)[This is immediately so intriguing. The arrival of Eve has brought a new element to the book. I loved witnessing them all interacting during their game of Shoots and Ladders. Max and Xander have clearly got something going on and I can totally see them working out. I'm not so sure about Avery and Jameson, though! (hide spoiler)]

Second quarter - (view spoiler)[My heart is actually breaking for Jameson! He feels like everything between himself and Avery is merely a game with Greyson included. He reminds me of Rebecca, always feeling second best to his siblings. It is as hard for him to live with Greyson as it is for her to confront Eve's return, when she looks so much like the favoured Emily. (hide spoiler)]

Third quarter - (view spoiler)[This is the final book in this storyline, although not in the series, and so I thought we'd be winding down on all the mysteries but they are so far from over! I'm so eager to unravel everything but the romance is not grabbing my attention in quite the same way as it was in the last two books. I just don't really believe anything occurring between Avery and Jameson. (hide spoiler)]

(view spoiler)[ Eve starts the beginning of the questions of the story, I liked that! I swear they always had the most interesting games to play... but of course the rich version of the games.

Max and Xander's relationship is so stinking cute as "friends" *wink wink* I hvae mixed feelings about Avery and Jameson (hide spoiler)]

(view spoiler)[ I wasn't expecting this to be the final book revolving around Avery taking the fortune. But it does seem like it's time for it to come to an end so it's not dragged out.

I was hoping for there to be more romance in this book and I felt like it fell short in some areas. I don't know.. that could also be because I waited too long between the 2nd book and 3rd book.

Honestly happy Eve didn't stick around, I had a bad feeling about her. & I wanted Avery to be the only girl between the Hawthornes (hide spoiler)]
