I read this book a few years ago. What I remember of the plot is that a woman is sent to a work camp of sorts where she is transported to and from work daily. She lives in one room in a hostel type place. She knows a man (I think) who she arranges to meet in the future at a place (?beach) but when it comes to the time to meet she finds it really difficult to get to the place.
