We have big storms rattling around, so if I'm late posting week 7 in the morning it could be our electricity has been cut. But hopefully that is only a very outside chance!

Hi Jane!Checking to see if these work-
(looks like a moon on cover and a darkish night sky)

No to the second - they look like snow flakes outside :)

☼♎ Carmen the Bootyshaker Temptress ☼♎ wrote: "Hi Jane will this cover work?
"Yep - there are bats & lightening on the cover and its fairly dark, so it must be set against a 'night sky' :)

Thank you Jane
Alyssa wrote: "Hi Jane! Would this cover work ?
"Hi Alyssa - I'm on the fence for this one, but the editions in Arabic and Spanish definitely work. Use one of them to qualify :)

Alright ! Thank you so much for your reply :)
Kat wrote: "
I didn’t ask, but I think this qualifies ? Six Graves"I'm so sorry Kat, I'm going to say no. I've looked at this trying to justify a 'night sky' but there are no stars in the sky, only some lights on in buildings. This could be just a bleak day and in fact, that's what it looks like to me.
Hopefully you can find another good book to read. There are still another 3 weeks left in the challenge :)
Jane - will you accept this for night sky? The trees behind him are set against what looks like dark blue sky to me?
Or this one? Can't decide it it's sunrise or sunset... my first reaction was sunset but I don't...
Week 9Option 1
5. Monochrome 📷
* Read a book with that is predominantly black, grey, white on the cover. Toning browns for sepia also work.
Additional colours must tone in and not dominate. A spot of bright colour is allowed e.g. for title effect or a simple highlight.

I'll try to get around all the threads today. Apologies that I haven't made it in there lately :) Life has been busy, topped off with a small migraine. But all good now!

First one yes, Second one no :)
Hey, Jane the category says other colors must tone in, does that means the cover cannot only be black and white.
☘KathyD☘ wrote: "hi Jane...does this qualify for this week's task?
"Yes. That works!
(I'll add the brown tones to the task)
Iliana wrote: "Hey, Jane the category says other colors must tone in, does that means the cover cannot only be black and white."No. It can be any combo of black, grey, white etc. I'm just allowing other 'toning colours' and a very limited amount of bright.

thanks Jane!
MN Lisa wrote: "Jane (PS) wrote: "a very limited amount of bright."What if the bright is the title only?
"Yes - I thought that colored titles might pop up. That's why I added the bit of a spot. This is more than a spot, but it doesn't dominate, so all good :)
I'll take out the extremely limited element in my task so that this sort of cover works. (My brain is still waking up and making sense of how to communicate my thoughts!)
As above, if you aren't sure please post here and I'll try to get an answer back quickly but hopefully these earlier examples will show you want is needed...
