Sorry Fran - that's getting a bit too casual. If he had a suit jacket in his hand, I'd say yes.

Yep - there are bats & lightening on the cover and its fairly dark, so it must be set against a 'night sky' :)

I'm so sorry Kat, I'm going to say no. I've looked at this trying to justify a 'night sky' but there are no stars in the sky, only some lights on in buildings. This could be just a bleak day and in fact, that's what it looks like to me.

Hopefully you can find another good book to read. There are still another 3 weeks left in the challenge :)

Jane (PS) | 24334 comments Week 9

Option 1
5. Monochrome 📷

* Read a book with that is predominantly black, grey, white on the cover. Toning browns for sepia also work.
Additional colours must tone in and not dominate. A spot of bright colour is allowed e.g. for title effect or a simple highlight.

No. It can be any combo of black, grey, white etc. I'm just allowing other 'toning colours' and a very limited amount of bright.

Yes - I thought that colored titles might pop up. That's why I added the bit of a spot. This is more than a spot, but it doesn't dominate, so all good :)

I'll take out the extremely limited element in my task so that this sort of cover works. (My brain is still waking up and making sense of how to communicate my thoughts!)

Its borderline, but it does tone through in its own way and it is the title :)
