I wanted to add another book in case people are wanting to read something not as spooky, but in the Halloween spirit. The Undertaking of Hart and Mercy It is a fantasy enemies to lovers romance where the female protagonist Mercy is an undertaker and the male protagonist Hart is a marshall and he will bring bodies to her. They do not like each other, but they end up becoming pen pals and start building a relationship unbeknownst to one another. It sounds like it would be a really cute fall read!

But you can second as many books as you want as well from the suggested list! I will add that suggestion now!

Hello everyone! It has been brought to my attention that Haunting Adeline is a book that is not appropriate for children that are under the age of 15. I personally looked up the trigger warnings from this book and those trigger warning are: -child sex trafficking
-rape
-sexual assault
-Kidnapping
-Stalking
-Murder
-Blood & Gore depiction
-Torture.
Coming from being a mom as well.... I know personally I wouldn't let my 15 year old daughter read that content until she was 18+ or if she was into that. So with this being said... I am not trying to be a B**** but I think that book should be removed from the list.
I totally understand not wanting to have this book on the reading list. This type of book is not for everyone and I will make sure to take that into account for the next book I recommend. :)
@natalie no girl your fine you didn’t know but we are just trying to look out for others and I mean that’s not really an appropriate book for a 15 year old to be reading. Coming from being a mother I wouldn’t let me daughter read that stuff either but we all have different tastes but from now on I think stuff like this we can’t recommend just to be safe.
