Dannii Elle (danniiellereads) | 9940 comments The epic conclusion to Amanda Foody and Christine Lynn Herman’s New York Times bestselling All of Us Villains duology that's The Hunger Games with magic.

“I feel like I should warn you: this is going to be absolutely brutal.”

For the first time in this ancient, bloodstained story, the tournament is breaking. The boundaries between the city of Ilvernath and the arena have fallen. Reporters swarm the historic battlegrounds. A dead boy now lives again. And a new champion has entered the fray, one who seeks to break the curse for good... no matter how many lives are sacrificed in the process.

As the curse teeters closer and closer to collapse, the surviving champions each face a choice: dismantle the tournament piece by piece, or fight to the death as this story was always intended.

Long-held alliances will be severed. Hearts will break. Lives will end. Because a tale as wicked as this one was never destined for happily ever after.

Same! I really liked book one and I think this is just a duology so it'll be nice to get a series ticked off.

Dannii Elle (danniiellereads) | 9940 comments I have a day off work so hoping to fly through this one today, as I remember book one being a super fast read :)

Hope you love it, Ta :) It got off to a slow start but was a solid read for me.

It started out slow, but it's building up pace which I think is good."

I found it quite initially slow too. It did do a good job of getting the reader up to date before introducing any new elements though.

I keep forgetting that they're just kids, the characters are very well written

I agree the book feels like it starts out a little late, i think it may have meant to be a book that can be read alone considering they tell almost everything that happened in the first book in only the first three or four chapters..

Bayan (bayyyansbooks) | 243 comments Dannii wrote: "Second Quarter - Pacing has picked up and I’m really invested in the story.."

I think Isobel is trying to live up to her reputation without considering the consequences of her actions..

I think he's there to complicate Alistair and Isobel's relationship 😂😂

I think many authors are conscious that some won't reread a book before a subsequent story is released and are more attuned to trying to give a bit of a summary.

I'm more intrigued to see how the split groupings dynamic affects events.

I agree with all of you that they did a good job of recaping the previous book. I just reread it to remind myself of everything that happened so its all fresh but i liked that the author recapped while giving new info

I totally agree. I usually like when authors do theae but it did feel a bit too lengthy here.
