Phoebe and West don’t waste time ignoring their attraction to each other and soon embark on a steamy liaison. What about this was realistic? Was it a nice change of pace or things progressing too soon?

It didn't move too fast for me. Phoebe hasn't had too many steamy nights over the last few years. It sounds like Henry was incapacitated for some time. Even if it was a short liaison, it was what Phoebe needed.

When Phoebe asked West to come and help her, she had already given in and knew that she and West were meant to be. She was all in for however long it lasted.

Neither one of them had any reason to put off their attraction. I was so glad Kleypas handled them like mature adults in this respect. It felt very realistic.
