For sports romance I’d say Elle Kennedy’s Off Campus/Briar U.
The Cruel Prince trilogy is a good ease into fantasy romance.
And for a deeper dive into fantasy romance I’d say The Plated Prisoner series by Raven Kennedy, the Four Horsemen or The Bargainer series by Laura Thalassa, or any of Sarah J Maas’s series.
The Ravenhood trilogy by Kate Stewart is one of my favorites as well.
Mafia (or what I consider mafia-lite) recs: Sophie Lark. She’s never steered me wrong.

a good girl's guide to murder is a fantastic trilogy. the first two do sort of feel like standalones but the third one ties everything together so well (in my opinion at least). truly devious is also a great and just really fun series.
