Looking desperately for a gripping book series! Help me end this reading slump.

I'm looking for a fantasy that will really pull me in. A book that will absorb me. But still remain relatively clean. I don't mind most swearing, but I draw the line at "F**k","S**t",And "G*****n"
I do like mild romance, but not sexually explicit.
And for violence, I don't really mind it a whole lot as long as it's just not extremely gory."
I've been in a reading slump for a while, so show me your favorite fantasy/mystery/historical fiction novels!

My favorite fantasy novel would have to be the host by Stephanie Meyers . I don’t think there is much cussing in it. Definitely no f-bombs, I would remember that. For historical, I would say candle in the darkness by Lynne Austen.

Also for clarification, the historical novel is a bit religious. But not too preachy I don’t think.
