similar to pathfinder way setup , isolated villages , female messenger( not sure), protected rest places

as it mentioned in the title, I am searching for a novel about a female heroine who was an outcasted in her town / village .I think she works as a messenger between the her village and the other village because the roads outside the village is very dangerous and full of monsters & on the roads there are some protected( magically ) resting places for the messengers ...
the novel setup is similar to pathfinder way ..
that is all I could recall
