Dakoda had bruises all over his body. He fought as much as he could every time Lakle was pulled away, but to no avail. He heard shouting and stood up to see what the noise was about

Lakle stirred when the prince moved, sniffling. Suddenly, Aronian soldiers burst into the dungeons, quickly killing the in expecting guards.
Dakoda helped Lakle up. He couldn't help but smirk at the guards who were now dead
Lakle clenched her violin as she stood, the soldiers wrenching open the cage door. "We found the prince!" One shouted.
Dakoda watched as the guards practically ripped the door off its hinges and rushed to see if they were OK. Dakoda just brushed them off, "I'm fine, let's get out of here." he said, holding Lakles hand tightly
Lakle clung to the prince's hand, her other one holding the violin and bow. She looked frightened, but was also ready to resume her maid duties the second it was asked.
The guards lead Dakoda and Lakle outside, where a few horses were waiting. Dakoda climbed on one of them and pulled Lakle up with him
Lakle wrapped her arms around the prince, still holding the violin. She shook slightly.
They headed back to the palace. Dakoda was mostly silent for the way, glancing at Lakle every now and then
As the castle drew nearer, Lakle prepared herself to be treated like what she was, a mere maid, beneath notice. It didn't matter what she had been through, she wasn't as important as the prince.
