Dakoda pulled her up onto the saddle with him. "Hold on." he grunted before kicking the horse with his heels, signaling the horse to run

The castle got further and further away as they rode on. Dakoda took a glance back and could see fire on parts of the castle. He wanted to stay and fight but if he died then there would be no heir to the throne

Lakle gasped as she saw fire, whimpering. She tensed, so scared and lost. Her new home, gone.
((sure))
Dakoda slowed the horse down. They were far enough to slow down now. They were in a thick forest on a barely visible trail, but Dakoda knew where he was going. There was a village a day or twos travel where they could stay until everything cleared up

Dakoda glanced back at her, he felt bad for seeing her so afraid, but also was glad he dragged her out of the castle. They continued in silence, until it got so dark that he couldn't see ahead of him. He stopped the horse, "We can stop here for the night." he said

Dakoda tied the horse and sat down underneath a tree. He huffed and looked over at Lakle, even though it was hard to see her. "Its going to be a cold night." he told her

"There's a village about a days journey from here." Dakoda replied, "We'll go there and wait to hear from someone from the castle." he added.

Dakoda closed his eyes. He was unusually calm about all of this, but only because he knew panicking wouldn't help either of them.
((So they get kidnapped in the middle of the night?))

Lakle quickly drifted to sleep, tiredly laying her head on the prince's shoulder, the violin still in her lap.
Dakoda fell asleep not long after Lakle. Later that night Dakoda woke up hearing his horse making noise. It still was dark but not as dark as before. Dakoda quietly stood up and drew his sword, looking around for what startled his horse

Dakoda looked around, taking a few steps forward. He heard a stick crack and whipped around, only to come face to face to a man twice his size

Dakoda swung his sword at the man, only to be knocked off his feet. The man pulled him up by the collar of shirt and pushed his own knife against Dakodas neck

"Let her go!" Dakoda snarled at the men, who only sneered at him.

The man holding Dakoda dragged him over to the cage. Dakoda struggled even with the knife beginning to pierce his neck

Dakoda was thrown into the cage with Lakle, "Let us go!" he demanded

Dakoda looked around for a way out, but expectingly found nothing. Finally he sat down by Lakle to comfort her

Dakoda shifted closer to her, "Don't let them know who we are." he whispered I'm her ear

Dakoda wrapped an arm around her. He alternated his graze from the men to the upcoming kingdom. His mind was racing with ways to get away, but the one thing he did know was rthat if they just thought they were common folk then they might have a better chance of getting away

((I'm going to sleep, night.))
((Night))
Dakoda sighed. He was worried more about Lakle then himself. He had no idea how she would handle things, and Dakoda knew that these types of men were not gently with woman and men alike.

Dakoda was much more alert when they reached the castle. When the man tried to drag Lakle away, he threw himself at him, but to no avail. Another man shoved him onto the ground and roughly kicked him in the stomach. Dkakoda snarled and was dragged away from Lakle

Dakoda was in the cage with his ankle shackled to it. He had been sitting in silence and attacking anyone who came to close to him. He snapped his head towards the door when he heard it open, and was horrified to see Lakle. He got up and went over to her quickly, "Are you okay?" he asked, even though he was pretty sure he knew the answer

Dakoda pulled Lakle closer to her, "I'm so sorry..." he muttered to her

Dakoda wrapped his arms around her protectively.

Dakoda held her close and watched the men, making sure they wouldn't come near her again
((hmm, not sure, what do you think?))
