Tess took a lot of risks during this assignment. Was it more than what a male field agent would have done? Was she that fearless or just well trained as a field agent?

Robin (robinmy) | 2450 comments I think Tess is smart and well trained for the field. She doesn't get rattled easily. It felt like the only time she really lost it was when Vin Murphy was injured and she ended up getting arrested.

She took a lot of risks, but I don't think it is more than what the male field agents did.

Sharon Kallenberger Marzola | 3484 comments Tess is well trained. I don't know if she took more risks than a man, but she didn't take more risks than this team.

I agree with Robin, she usually keeps her head until Murphy was injured.

Lauren (laurenjberman) | 1811 comments I also do not think that Tess took any risks that a male agent wouldn't have taken. She reacted in accordance with her training and instincts. She did her job.

@Sharon - yes, she did not react well here and ended up arrested. That said, I understood the stress she was under and the need to protect her team mate and get him the help he needed to save his life.

I kept replacing Tess with a male agent in these circumstances and it didn’t seem as if she took extra risks. I think she was completely aware of what she was doing when she saved Vin Murphy and deliberately chose to put herself in jeopardy. The alternative was to let him die.

Even in jail she was thinking. Scared, but thinking. She chose to trust that her team would find her.

Anita (anitanodiva) | 2973 comments For a rookie field agent, she did what she had to do. Being a woman in that country at that time alone was a risk. A man would not have been a scrutinized as she was so everything she did was riskier. She was fearless because that is who she is, and she had training and great instincts.

I agree she was stressed, and I understood why she did what she did. If she had a little more experience, she would have ripped off Murphy's shirt, or asked for Khalid's. She did the best she could under the circumstances.
