Tess’ field application is turned down by her agency boss and she decides to quit and set her sights at Troubleshooters. Based on what you knew about her at the time, was her decision a rash one or the right thing to do?

Robin (robinmy) | 2450 comments It was the right thing to do. They gave her the usual excuse and told her to try again in six months. Nothing was going to change. If she wanted to do field work, she had to make a change.

Sharon Kallenberger Marzola | 3484 comments It was the right decision. It doesn't take too many rejections for Tess to realize she is in a dead-end job. They were not taking her seriously, so her only option was to make something happen for herself.

Definitely the right thing to do. It was a crappy rejection and the way he handled it told Tess a lot about her value in his eyes. Boy did she deliver them a major blow by walking away because we learn later that this woman has serious skills. I thought she should go for it as there was nothing much to lose.

Lauren (laurenjberman) | 1811 comments Absolutely the right thing. They had no incentive or intention of making her a field agent as she was too valuable as support.

Her actions reinforced her daring from the night club incident.

Anita (anitanodiva) | 2973 comments Tess's goal was always to be a field agent, she was just too good at her dead-end support job for the boss to let her go. She could be support in any agency. She wanted to be in the field, had had the training and was ready for the change. She was right to look for that elsewhere.
